Iceland is a Nordic Island Country situated in the North Atlantic. It is a country of extreme contrasts in climate, culture and nature. Widely known as "The land of fire and ice" it is home to some of the biggest glaciers in Europe and some of the world's most active volcanoes. Dark winters are offset by the summer's midnight sun.

 

Additionally to the stunning landscape of Iceland it has also a history-charged culture. From ancient sagas, Christmas traditions to all kind of arts there is a varied culture in Iceland.
